The couple I choose for this project are Jack and Rose from the Titanic. Jack Dawson is a poor artist who wins a thirdclass ticket to the Titanic, a luxury cruiseship. Jack is a young man with a free-spirited and adventurous personality. Rose DeWitt Bukater is a wealthy young woman from an aristocraticfamily. Even though she was born into a privileged life she feels stifled by societal expectations and feels trapped by her responsibilities. For example Rose is engaged to another rich man but she does not love him .Rose is drawn to Jack because he loves life and is free. Being with him makes her think the future her family planned for her is not the kind of life she wants to live. Jack and Rose’s time on the titanic is a romantic joyride for a time until the ship meets its fateful end. When the Titanic hits an iceberg and begins to sinks. Jack and Rose’s romantic comedy turns into a tragedy. The ship sinks, and Jack sacrifices himself to save Rose. This mix of romance and tragedy is very powerful and I really enjoy this movie. What makes it even better is the movie is based on a true story. The story is based on the story of a married couple who also died in a romantic way on the Titanic. This story is really sad and makes me think about what it means to lose someone who trully loved you
